Are you new to social media or perhaps you already have a page or two or three but are a bit lost or overwhelmed by it all? Are you wondering if you even need it or what it can do for your business? Then this all-day workshop presented from the perspective of soft furnishing workroom owners is geared to you!
Topics covered in the morning session will include a quick overview of the most popular platforms and why you should use social media for your soft furnishings business. Penny will also guide you on social media ethics and best practices, marketing and developing your brand, pros and cons of paid advertising, using and understanding analytics, and the advantages of hiring a social media manager.
Susan Woodcock will give a short presentation on how social media marketing has worked for her business and will share her approach to using the platforms that fit her style, image and message.
In the afternoon session, Nancy will cover writing and photography tips to help you create interesting content, how to use keywords and hashtags to drive traffic, popular apps for scheduling posts, photo editing and collages, and watermarking your photos.
We will have a session at the end to walk you through setting up or working on your social media page(s), so bring your laptop or mobile device with you to class.
