CWC-17 was Amazing!

By on Jun 20, 2017 in CWC Blog

The 2017 Custom Workroom Conference in Murfreesboro, Tennessee was a huge success!

Thank you to everyone who attended. You are the reason why this event was created, and we are so proud that you chose to join us for CWC-17.

From the moment we met you at registration, to the closing comments; your enthusiasm, love of learning and excitement to meet others in the workroom industry is what makes CWC such a special experience.

The CWC-17 Teacher Team presented top-notch classes and they were always available to answer questions and brainstorm with attendees.  In fact, being together to share and laugh with our peers is one of the best parts of attending CWC.

We would like to recognize our sponsor, Hanes Fabrics for their continued support.  Hanes Fabrics values workroom education and the opportunity to build relationships with customers.  The Hanes team looks forward to meeting workroom owners face-to-face at CWC and we love the premium lining products that Hanes offers for our custom projects.

This year we gathered all the attendees together for a Keynote Address with Jeanelle Dech, Michele Williams and Susan Woodcock presenting C.O.R.E. Values.  It was an inspiring message of how Confidence, Opportunity, Relationships and Experience can build business success. There was a lot of laughter and the message was very meaningful for those attending.

What our attendees had to say…
“I could see the passion present in each speaker on Tuesday and how much they care for our industry. I felt like each speaker was talking to me and they want to see me succeed!”

“The keynote speeches were outstanding! It was inspiring, educational and entertaining. You ladies rocked it!”

Michele Williams, Susan Woodcock and Jeanelle Dech delivered the keynote address at CWC-17.

Following the keynote address, Julie Wood, National President of  Window Coverings Association of America presented the Jill Robson Memorial Scholarship to Jean Lawes, Homestyle LLC.  Jill Robson’s husband Steve and granddaughter Alana shared special memories and their presence made the award even more meaningful.

The Exhibitor Marketplace rocked all day!  We truly appreciate the companies who participated this year.  It was great to see new products and all the wonderful tools, materials, supplies and resources for the workroom industry all together in one place.

The Exhibitor Marketplace was busy all day.

The Demo-Station, hosted by The Workroom Channel was a popular place to be.  The learning never ends!

CWC wouldn’t be as much fun without the excitement of the party-of-the-year hosted by our supporting organization, Window Coverings Association of America.  The theme of this years party was “Rhinestones & Cowboys Shindig”.  There was barbecue; there was bling, fringe, cowboy boots and hats; there was a mechanical bull; and there was live music.  What a fun night!

One of the only regrets we have after the conference is that there just isn’t enough time to speak to every person is is attending to say “thank you for being here, your support makes CWC happen”. Once we returned home we immediately began planning for 2018!  Stay tuned for the dates and location of the next Custom Workroom Conference.

Thank you,

Susan Woodcock and Rodger Walker
